The Residential Program Manager is the leader of their assigned program at AMAS Inc. They are responsible for the management of the home and the staff working in the home. They are also responsible for person-centered service delivery and supporting and empowering the individuals we serve.
Some other essential job duties include:
- Participation in writing and development of individual plans.
- Implementation and accurate tracking of outcomes.
- Coordination and participation of team meetings.
- Communication with each individual’s team on a regular basis and as needs arise.
- Direct care of the individuals we support.
- Supervision and providing feedback and support to their Residential Program Supervisors and Direct Support Professionals at the program.
- Ensuring our individuals live in a clean, safe and well-maintained home.
- Oversees medication administration and documentation.
- Ensures and reviews all daily documentation and follows up with any concerns noted.
- Schedules/attends and medical, dental, psychiatric appointments as appropriate.
- Ensures that the individuals we support are provided with nutritious meals and snacks and that staff are properly trained in teaching meal preparation skills.
- Maintains and follows the program budget; accurately documents all expenditures and secures receipts.
- Oversees and assists the Residential Program Supervisor in scheduling and organizing activities that our individuals enjoy.
- Attends, participates in and facilitates agency and outside trainings.
- Follows, promotes and ensures implementation and compliance of all AMAS Incorporated policies and procedures.
Skills, Knowledge, Credentials:
- Four year degree in social service field or verifiable related education and or experience in the field of developmental disabilities;
- Effective written and oral communication skills;
- Skills acquired by two (2) or more years of full time equivalency employment working with people with developmental disabilities;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to work toward accomplishing outcomes desired by the consumer;
- Ability to balance requirements of multiple and varied duties;
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

A social services agency that provides residential services to people with developmental disabilities is looking to hire an experienced Residential Program Supervisor. This position is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the home. To qualify, the ideal candidate will: development.
Key Requirements:
- Have a 2 year degree in a social services field and 2 years of experience working in a group home, or a 4 year degree in social services and/or related field;
- Have supervisory experience in a group home setting;
- Communicate effectively and consistently with Residential Program Manager and other staff
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be safety minded;
- Be goal oriented and outcome driven, always with the consumer’s best interest in mind;
- Be conscious of information portrayed to the community;
- Present and conduct themselves in a professional manner;
- Pass State/Federal background checks;
- Possess a current driver’s license and insurance with a clean driving record.
